One mistake I often find coaches doing with their content creation and marketing efforts is writing as though they’re talking to their fellow coaches or personal trainers.
Keep your content focused on how you’re helping your audience (prospective clients, customers, etc.). You’re likely educating a group of individuals that know less about your subject than you.
Avoid industry jargon and don’t try to impress your peers. In plain language, speak directly to the people that you want to inform.
A good technique to overcome this tendency is to write your posts for one person, not your entire audience.
Imagine your prospective client sitting down alone to read your content and write so they can get the most out of it even if they’re an absolute beginner.
